This Privacy Policy describes how Julia Weaver (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Bowler Every Day mobile application and the companion service hosted at api.bowlereveryday.online.

1. Who we are

Bowler Every Day is a bowling practice and scoring app. It is operated by Julia Weaver. For privacy questions, email juliaweaver2@icloud.com.

2. What we collect

The app does not require an account, password, or email address to use. When the app talks to our server, we process:

Anonymous device identifier — a random identifier stored on your device and sent as a request header so we can keep your data separate from other users.
Game history — scores, frames, houses, lanes, session type, notes, and related bowling records you log.
Practice and play data — drill sessions, mini-game results, daily challenge completions, and weekly quest progress.
Arsenal — bowling balls you add (name, brand, weight, layout notes, and similar fields you enter).
Profile preferences you choose — display name, language, bowling hand and style, ball weight, home house, and league night.
Derived statistics — averages, pin conversion, rhythm, personal bests, and badges computed from the records above.

We do not ask for your real name, payment card, precise GPS location, contacts, photos, or health data. Display name is optional and can be a nickname.

3. How we use information

To store your bowling history and show statistics in the app.
To compute daily challenges, weekly quests, badges, and personal bests.
To sync your data across launches of the app on the same device.
To operate, secure, and debug the service.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your bowling records for advertising. We do not share individual records with other users.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process this data to provide the service you request (performance of a contract) and, where needed, our legitimate interest in running a reliable app. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your data as described below.

5. Storage and retention

History and statistics are stored on our servers associated with your device identifier. We keep them until you delete your profile in the app or until you ask us to erase them. Server logs (IP address, time, request path) may be retained for a short period for security and operations, then deleted or aggregated.

6. Sharing

We use hosting providers to run api.bowlereveryday.online. They process data only to host the service. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell lists of users.

7. Children

Bowler Every Day is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact juliaweaver2@icloud.com and we will delete it.

8. Your choices

You can stop sending new data by using the app offline or uninstalling it.
You can delete your server-side profile and stored history from the app’s data controls, which instructs the server to erase the device record.
You can email juliaweaver2@icloud.com to request access or deletion. Include enough detail for us to locate the anonymous device record if you still have the app installed.

9. International transfers

The service may be hosted outside your country. By using Bowler Every Day, you understand that your bowling history and related data may be processed in the country where the servers are located.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy. The current version is always published at https://api.bowlereveryday.online/privacy.
